  • TÓTal zerOs for everybody, nobody and me

    Cologne: Edition Hundertmark, 1977.

    14 cards, including one torn by the artist, 144 × 101 mm, placed in a three-panel folder with two flaps, 152 × 107 mm; black and white offset printing.

    Edition of 150 signed copies.

    Our copy is signed in pencil by the artist on the outside of the right flap, which also contains the colophon (Impressum).

  • On the back of each card, the inscription reads:
    "Endre Tót from 'TOTal zer0s 1977'", along with the publisher’s address.

    Using some of the torn lower sections from the edition’s cards, Endre Tót created a unique book, held together with a staple and annotated in red pen.

    24 unnumbered pages, semi-rigid cover, staple binding, 290 × 205 mm; black and white offset printing + one color (green).

    The cover features a black and white photograph of the artist's portrait.

    The number of copies published is unknown.

    Our copy is signed in blue ballpoint pen and bears an original red ink imprint of an Endre Tót stamp: "TÓTalJOY by TÓT."

    During the exhibition, on Saturday, November 17, 1979, Endre Tót recorded his voice repeating the same phrase in English on an audio cassette.

    Cassette marked A.P. (Artist’s Proof).*

    • Side A: Handwritten title in black pen:
      "ENDRE TÓT / GALERIE S:T PETRI / 17 XI 1979."

    During an interview, Jean Sellem explained to us that this A.P.-marked cassette was the one used to record Endre Tót’s performance.

    From this original copy, 10 additional copies were made.
    Each of these copies is numbered and signed by the artist.

    I’m glad if I can say sentences

  • On Saturday, November 17, 1979, Endre Tót recorded his sound performance on an audio cassette at Galerie S:t Petri, Lund, Sweden.

    • Side A: For 15 minutes, he repeatedly says the phrase:
      "I’m glad if I can say sentences one after the other."

    • Side B: Every minute for 30 minutes, he repeats the phrase:
      "In one minute I will say something."

  • TEN DOCUMENTS (1973-80)

    Amsterdam: Stempelplaats, 1980.

    10 cardstock sheets, 211 × 147 mm, contained in a three-flap folder, 211 × 151 mm; black and white offset printing, only on the front side of each sheet.

    Edition of 200 copies, numbered, signed, and hand-stamped in red ink by the artist.

    Our copy is numbered in pencil 58/100 on the back of the second flap of the folder.

  • Notes

    The three-flap folder and each sheet bear the original red ink stamp imprint of the artist Endre Tót:

    "documents make me glad – Tótaljoy" (with the artist’s face in the center of the stamp).

    An exception: the document addressed to Cosey Fanni Tutti, dated 18.12.1975, features a black ink stamp imprint reading "I am glad if I can stamp".

    Is this an original stamp imprint, or was the imprint part of the original letter reproduced for the edition?
